About Us

The MENTOR Initiative is a UK-based International NGO working with the world’s most vulnerable and hard to reach communities to save lives and reduce suffering through tropical disease control.
Working in insecure and high-risk environments MENTOR (as it is also known) establishes large scale disease control during humanitarian emergencies. At the same time, develops the capacity for the long-term sustainable control of diseases such as malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases.
MENTOR invests in targeted operational research to deliver evidence-based and proven disease control solutions. Partnerships with the public and private sectors bring together knowledge, power and resources to make the greatest impact.
MENTOR was founded in 2002 by the Director and CEO Richard Allan and is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2022.
